Solidarity School
In 2025, we saw billionaires taking the reins of our current administration like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos and cutting benefits to the many like veterans and working people to give hand-outs to the small wealthy elite. This is hurting all of us and we have to do something about it. We have to put workers before billionaires, keep our communities safe, and stop authoritarianism before it’s too late. The only way we can do that is together. We believe that people power - bringing thousands of people together towards a common dignified future - is the only way we can protect our communities and create a better world for all of us. That’s why we are holding a Solidarity School Training on hold Saturday, January 17 at the Centenary United Methodist Church. We’re hosting this workshop during MLK weekend because we know that we have faced authoritarianism, racism, classism and terror in our communities before and we honor the courage and unity that Memphis sanitation workers had to stand up and fight back against seemingly insurmountable odds.At this workshop, we will invite participants into a collective understanding of the political moment, identify points of unity and shared direction amongst our organizations, and chart a course of mass movement to put workers over billionaires. We will provide food during the workshop for everyone.RSVP: LINK
