Corporations and trade associations are funding racism and attacks on our democracy.

For too many years, they have hidden in the shadows, that ends now. They are as responsible for the actions of the majority in the Tennessee Legislature as the legislators taking the votes. Their CEOs and corporate boards have decided their profits are more important than our children receiving a high quality education, our roads and infrastructure being maintained, our local governing power meaning anything, and our ability to have fair representation in our government.

They sit silently year after year as lawmakers attack our friends and neighbors, strip us of our rights and freedoms, silence our voices, and punish our communities for their mere existence. Meanwhile, thier lobbyists and campaign contributions deliver billions in take breaks and giveaways while the average family shoulders the burdens of some of the highest sales and grocery taxes in the country.

Tennesseans from every corner of this state are working hard to earn a good life for themselves and their families. They don’t have endless financial resources or high powered lobbyists and trade associations to carry out their agenda.

But we’re not powerless against them. We know their names and know that every dollar that is spent in one of their businesses is a dollar spent in service of systemic racism, authoritarianism, and greed. We demand they stop supporting lawmakers who attack our communities.

The Tennessee Realtors PAC has been one of the top donors to the leadership in the Tennessee Legislature for years, contributing millions to lawmakers who bring hateful and discriminatory legislation every session.

Send a letter to the TN Realtors Association leadership TODAY and say enough is enough. Urge them to cut off support for legislators who harm our communities.
