PSS Community of Practice: School Board Resolutions

Join us for August's monthly check-in Zoom meeting on August 25th at 6CT/7ET where we check in with Public School Strong members across the state who are working to support and transform our public schools amidst extremist attacks. We'll share statewide campaign updates, share our struggles and successes, talk about what's going on in our districts, and brainstorm how we can support each other.

This month, we will focus on school board resolutions as a tool to protect the right to live, learn, and be for all students. While school board resolutions are not a policy, they are an amazing tool to get school boards on the record about the critical issues that matter to us. They also can be used to share the will of a community formally with state leaders. This fall, we are working to pass Education for All resolutions across the state to stop HB793 once and for all. During this call, you'll learn step-by-step how to get a resolution passed in YOUR community as part of a statewide movement for the schools our communities deserve.
